Due to the fact that my work is now customer oriented I have possibilities to see more environments and learn new things. Quite recently I was working with customer and we wanted to see DCUI - Direct Console User Interface.
I recently needed Linux Virtual Machine to manage one of the environments and I simply downloaded Linux distribution from Internet. My choice was Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela. I like this specific distribution, because it looks nice and As you might suspect it was installed as Virtual Machine on my laptop. As I am using Mac OS X I had to use VMware Fusion.

After that you need extended support which costs a lot of money per server. If you want to avoid situations where your software is no longer support you have to invest time and money into upgrades.
