Free VMware VCA Certifications till end of January 2014
In September 2013 VMware announced new certification called VMware Certified Associate**.**
It is entry-level certification below well-known VCP.
Here you can find reasons to go for VCA.
VMware Certified Associate is now available for three tracks:
- VMware Certified Associate - Cloud (VCA-Cloud)
- VMware Certified Associate - Data Center Virtualization (VCA-DCV)
- VMware Certified Associate - Workforce Mobility (VCA-WM)
Fourth one VMware Certified Associate? Network Virtualization (VCA-NV) will come soon.

VMware exam registration - IMPORTANT!
If you want to go for certification you must be authorized by VMware to do it. Info is found on Pearson VUE webpage:
Note: All VMware Certification exams require prior VMware authorization. If you would like to reschedule an exam that was originally scheduled for July 19, 2013, you will need to cancel your appointment, and gain VMware authorization at vmware.com/certification before you are able to reschedule your exam appointment with Pearson VUE.
If you used an exam voucher when scheduling your original exam, you will be able to reuse it when rescheduling.
Exam
The exam is done online via PearsonVUE website. It has 50 questions and it takes 75 minutes. It is delivered in secure browser window where you are not allowed to copy content or click mouse, but who needs it 😉
VMware Hat-Trick
I took all three exams and I have to say even though they are entry-level I had to go through eLearning material. It was valid especially for VMware Horizon and VMware vCloud Director. I am not using those products by daily basis yet, so I really had to focus.

Different codes for different geographical regions
Looks like not all codes are working everywhere. So far with help of community, we have codes working in Europe and APAC.
