VMware Explore 2024 kicked off in Barcelona with a bang!
The main takeaway? VMware is all-in on helping you manage your stuff across all your clouds. They get that most companies aren’t just using one cloud anymore, and they’re building tools to make that easier.
Here’s the lowdown:
- VMware Cloud Foundation is getting a big upgrade. Version 9 will have better security and make it easier to run AI stuff on your own systems (no need to rely on someone else’s cloud!).
- Tanzu is getting even better at helping you modernize your apps. Think making those old apps work smoothly in the cloud, and making it easier to manage those new-fangled “containers” everyone’s talking about.
- VMware is teaming up with everyone. They’re working with all the big cloud providers (like AWS, Azure, etc.) and hardware makers to make sure everything works together nicely.
Basically, VMware wants to be your one-stop shop for managing your entire IT world, no matter how complex it gets.
In my opinion day 1 was less crowder than the other due to the weather conditions on Sunday around Barcelona.
